What Is PVC Wood Flooring?
Commonly known as "vinyl," poly vinyl chloride (PVC) is made into a variety of flooring products, including many product lines with a faux wood grain appearance. It is made from a plasticized PVC formulated for use in homes and businesses. PVC is impervious to water and is known for its long-wearing durability. While much of the vinyl flooring previously manufactured was lacking in aesthetic detail, newer PVC wood flooring has very convincing colors, textures and patterns.
Main characteristics
The vinyl / PVC blade is made up of several thicknesses:
- The upper polyurethane layer
- Thin wear layer <1 mm
- Printed decoration film
- Multilayer based on virgin PVC
Easy installation: proposed as a “click system” (without glue between the boards)
Easy to maintain Good thermal and sound insulation
Water resistant (can be installed in a bathroom)
Large variety of decorations in strips or slabs perfectly suitable for renovations, installs easily on an existing floor.
The vinyl / PVC floor presents no danger of toxicity and meets fire standards.
