Solid wood flooring
Long-lasting and very hardwearing, choosing solid wood flooring is synonymous with investment, both for the comfort it provides and for the added value it will bring to your property. The solid wood planks are 100% made from the trunk of your chosen species of tree. They are factory treated, machined and dried and are suitable for use in a domestic setting. The treatments and the moisture levels (between 8% and 12%) allow the sustainable preservation of the wood in high traffic areas like the kitchen or the bathroom, depending on whether or not the chosen wood is adapted for use in a wet environment.
There is great freedom of choice in terms of:
- Plank thickness (and therefore the layer use): Solid wood flooring is more long-lasting and hardwearing than engineered wood flooring because the layer of use is thicker.
- Wood species: Solid floorboards retain all the original properties of the wood in which they are made: hardness, stability of shape, density, appearance, colour variations over time...
- Style of effect: Depending on the width and the length of the planks, the use of solid wood flooring means that you can get quite different decorative effects.

- One layer of cross-laid slatted bars for 3 to 9 layers (or plies)
- One counterbalancing layer.
On average, the thickness of floating parquet is 14 mm or more depending on the product. It is often quicker to float engineered wood flooring, hence the name "floating parquet". It is an easier and more flexible way to cover an old floor covering without taking it apart (plastic floors, carpets, tiles, stone…). An insulating sub-floor is necessary to make the installation perfect.
In models that use what is known as a “Click System”, it is no longer necessary to use glue to assemble the grooves and tongues.

This makes every plank unique.
