Saw-cut finish : This is a mechanical technique that produces a sawn look on the surface of the floorboards causing their texture and aspect to be changed. This pattern brings texture and authenticity to the wood. It also offers an excellent restistante to bumps and wear. This type of wood fooring are recommended for high traffic location.
Smoked finish is an alternative to older wood with colours that have been weathered over time. This treatment speeds up the aging process of wood's natural colours and depending on whether it contains knots or sapwoods, can achieve different colour shades.
The wood is brushed along the grain to remove its soft parts. The "brushed" finish makes the surface slightly irregular to the touch, so the wood's texture is highlighted. This finish works best in rooms where there is heavy traffic, because scratches and scrapes are less noticeable due to the floor's irregularity.
In the style of oldtime parquet, bevels can be hammered and are known as broken edges to give an unequal and irregular effect.
XXL wide planks create the impression of a larger space. Other significant advantage : laying will be faster since one plank covers bigger surface.
Engineered multiplis flooring : Noble wood glued onto a multiply wood base of 6 layers of real wood. The main advantage of engineered wood flooring is its dimensional stability: the cross-ply construction means the wood is largely unaffected by swelling and does not warp significantly.
