Wood specie specification
Oak is traditionnally use and is very widespread. It matches perfectly all type of decoration, no matter the color of the furnitures and walls.
The CD grade allows all type of knots and traces of sapwood on the facing. These natural defects are part of wood's appeal as an elegant and unique, living material. Monnin Hardness : between 3 and 4,5. Density : 700 kg/m3. Resistance to insects : good. Dimensional stability : medium. Oak sligthly shift over time.
Relief 3D : A unique feel and incredible sensation beneath your feet. Exclusive and previously unknown method of twisting the wood to bring all of its natural bumps. A textured, hand-planed surface. Wide XXL planks whose knots and cracks are manually filled with tone on tone wood pulp. Even more stable than 20 mm thick wood flooring, it offers the same 6 mm wear layer. All the advantages of wood with affordable installation.
Smoked parquet : This finish is an alternative to older wood with colours that have been weathered over time. This treatment speeds up the aging process of wood's natural colours and depending on whether it contains knots or sapwoods, can achieve different colour shades. Moreover, the weathering effects become more pronounced and improve with time, revealing the wood'score. As opposed to surface stained floors, parquets smoked by oxidation are stained deeper and provide a more unique and sustainable colour.
Saw-cut finish : This is a mechanical technique that produces a sawn look on the surface of the floorboards causing their texture and aspect to be changed. This pattern brings texture and authenticity to the wood. It also offers an excellent restistante to bumps and wear. This type of wood fooring are recommended for high traffic location.
Aging is obtained by mechanical or manual techniques that change the look, colour, and texture of the parquet planks. Among the techniques used, the most common is hammering the bevels, known as "broken edges," giving an unequal and irregular effect.
XXL sized planks create the impression of a larger space. Other significant advantage : laying will be faster since one plank covers bigger surface.
This engineered flooring offer the same advantages than solid wood flooring. Extremely stable thanks to its 9 layers base, it has the same wear layer than a 20 mm thick wood flooring.
